I highly recommend Al Warild's "Vertical" book that Mark Passerby recently pointed to a source for. The most recent edition has never been available on paper. Al thought that so many people already had copies of the book that it would be uneconomical to print it again. However, with digital presses, that's no longer true, because of the very low up-front costs compared to real printing. Will be interesting to see how much the color paper version of the latest edition will cost. The color in that book is not at all essential. For the CD version, Al just added full color title pages to each chapter and did some colorizing of the drawings, such as making the big X over some bad practice red instead of black. Big deal. -- Mixon ----------------------- You may "Reply" to the address from which this message was sent, but note the following permanent addresses for long-term use: Personal: [email protected] AMCS: [email protected], [email protected]
