I know everyone thinks this is a lot of work, but it's a hobby of mine
(hosting sites, playing around with servers, etc) and so far, I have
less than 2 hours invested into this list, so no worries about the
work. And besides, switching the list will be changing a checkbox on
the admin page. Several people have replied off-list and a few
on-list. It seems most people don't care one way or other, and the rest
seem to want the old way.
I'm not going to switch it midstream (catch people off guard), so I'll
switch it Friday morning (March 3rd) sometime in the morning. I want to
give everyone a chance to get to this email and read it.
Again, I welcome comments, questions, complaints, etc, so feel free to
continue sending me feedback, either on list or off.
Thanks!
Charles

Hi Charles
You've already taken on a huge responsibility, and more work than you
need, by keeping this site up and running.
I would hope that TexasCavers email users can take the time to REPLY
ALL and delete the list serve eddress if they want to respond to only
the sender, thus eliminating more work for you.

Subject: [Texascavers] administrative: Mailing list question for everyone
I know I keep bugging everyone with non-caving related items, but just
indulge me a bit more if you would please.
A few people have mentioned that this list is setup a bit differently
than the last host due to the reply button going to the list, instead
of the person. I don't reply to enough on the list to have noticed it,
but a few of you that do have.
The question is, what is the consensus of the group? Most mailing
lists have it setup as we do now, reply goes to the list, then reply
all if you want to send to just a person and remove the mailing list
info.
I really don't want 300 people saying yeah or nay, however, I do want
some pro's and con's to it. I do not want to go changing things up, I
made a mistake when migrating it and don't want to just switch it mid
stream, even just a few days later, without a notification or
agreement that it's what the majority wants.
Thanks for your time
Charles
