We had a very busy final few months of 2005 - and with the holidays found it challenging to find an appropriate weekend for a volunteer project. We are ready to get started again with Monthly Volunteer Projects (MVPs) and a few special projects sprinkled in. I'm pleased to send you our first volunteer project announcement for 2006.
We need 12 volunteers to help with an overseeding project on a Water Quality Protection Land southwest of Austin near the Austin Zoo. This is a beautiful, yet rugged property. Please read the attached description, especially the physical requirements for this project before signing up. Those that sign up will receive confirmation in the form of a map to the property gate where we will meet. If you are not interested in this project, you don't need to do anything. Future announcements will be coming shortly for other opportunities. And don't forget that we have an ongoing educational hike program in southwest Austin the first Saturday of every month.
