As a matter of note, most state speed limits are still in the 75mph range.
Speeds lower than that are Federal "suggestions".
Basically, the states are not "required" to post the Federal limits, but if
they don't, they are not eligible for Federal highway funding. This is why
Montana had to repost the stretch of highway that had an "unlimited" speed.
