For what it's worth, when you attached a copy of the Ebay phishing scam to your post, you helped spread the scam and also set off a lot of automatic detection alarms on people's software and systems. This unfortunately creates additional confusion.
The best procedure is to report the problem to Ebay's scam site at <http://pages.ebay.com/securitycenter/?ssPageName=f:f:US>
