Yesterday I was part of a group from the Bexar Grotto group exploring what we thought was a virgin cave here in Comal County. The problem was that even though this was a fairly significant cave, it was noted that survey markers were in place for the 600+ feet of passageway explored. The pins were very corroded as if they were ten or fifteen years old. This cave was located in looking for Log-like cave for the TSS. The TSS does not have any information that this cave has even been explored. I have become friends with the landowner and we are establishing a working relationship to allow us access to the cave. We were wondering of anyone has a survey of this cave or knows additional information as these markers are definitely the work of past cavers. The general area is 2.3 miles northwest of the 281 bridge over the Guadalupe River. The cave is approximately 200 yards south of the Guadalupe River facing the North. When this cave was surveyed, the property was probably ranch land which has been converted to residential property. I think the current property owner has had the property for approximately two years. If anyone has additional information please contact me offline. Thanks.
