Bushman's Hole, the third-deepest freshwater cave known to man.

You can read a similar press release at <http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/story?id=943506>. I've been following the recovery attempts there, but I missed that show. It is actually the _fourth_ deepest water-filled pit in the world, according to the list kept by Oliver Knab of Switzerland. He gives:

1. Pozzo del Merro (Merlo), Italy -392 m / -1286 ft.
2. Zacatn, Mexico -329,1 m / -1080 ft.
3. Fontaine de Vaucluse, France -315 m / -1033 ft.
4. Bushmansgat, South Africa -282,5 m / -927 ft.
