Like all of you, I was shocked to receive the news of Jim’s passing. He was an irrepressible adventurer with a extraordinary intellect. We will certainly miss his presence in the caving community.
I don’t have too many photos of Jim but I especially like this one (photographer unknown) taken in his younger days on a visit to Gruta de Carrizal in November 1964. We are diminished. ===Carl Kunath
