Greetings, cavers! This week at the UT Grotto meeting join Ben Hutchins as he presents on recent, wet caving adventures in a new caving area in Guatemala! Just a few kilometers from the Belize border, the Machaquila River rises in the town of Carrizal. But the true headwaters for this important river flow underground where surface streams sink at the base of the Maya Mountains.
