For those of you interested in cave-digging videos here is one that is an ongoing project:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqkDrpee8mk Evan Robinson, the leader of this project, owns the potential cave. I think it is in Florida. ( I can only guess that it is southwest of the Gainesville area ) https://www.facebook.com/events/1774147202873761/ Evan started this project with a hole about 6 inches in diameter and just a few feet deep. He has been blasting and chiseling hard for months with his caver friend, Brendan, and they now have a belly-crawling size cave about 100 feet long and 30 feet deep that takes on water after a big rain. I think Brendan's name is Brendan LaRock, or maybe that is his pseudonym. Evan's videos are sort of suspenseful, in that he is documenting their slow progress inside the cave as the events are unfolding. Plus you can sense their enthusiasm by all the sweating and heavy breathing. Evan is an NSS member and affiliated with a the Tampa Bay Area Grotto. He seems to be very optimistic about the potential of this cave and has erected some nice signs around the cave. Feel free to correct me on any of the above, as I did not put much research into the post. In theory, some Texas caver could try to go there and help him dig and then come back and write a report for the Texas Caver on their experience. David Locklear NSS # 27639 P.S. That area is about a 2 hour drive south of Ichetucknee River State Park, which has a very fun river-float trip. Also, the commercial tour of Florida Caverns State Park is worth checking out. I am just saying you could make a big road-trip out of it and do several things.
