Arthur Robert “Bob” Oakley III, 72, of Uvalde died on April 10, 2017, at his residence. He was born on Oct. 14, 1944, in Easton, Pennsylvania, to Marjorie (Johnson) and Arthur Robert Oakley, Jr. He married Alicia Bankier on Jan. 1, 1968, in Uvalde. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, of Uvalde; one daughter, Shelly Renee Adame and husband, Joe, of Chesapeake, Virginia; one son, Arthur Robert Oakley IV and wife, Sarah, of College Station; one sister, Becky Walker and husband, Jim, of Austin; three brothers, Jim Oakley and wife, Sandy of Chesapeake, Virginia, Todd Oakley of New Braunfels, and Tracy Oakley of Seguin; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
