I spent a few seconds last week agonizing over how to get to The 2017 NSS Howdy Party. I am here. At least 10 cavers greeted me with open arms sort of like the tv show "Cheers." There are 400 hundred people here who enjoy this event far more than I do. Many of them are cavers. The rest are family. I am extremely impressed with the Steele Clan. I can not imagine being here with my 2 kids and 5 grandkids. Bill deserves a special award for that achievement. Unless someone can offer a better suggestion I nominate him for the "2017 Zen Walton Award." David Locklear NSS # 27639
