This webinar shines a bright light on the patterns behind these accidents, that will improve your awareness and help you become a safer caver. This webinar is essential for anyone that enters a cave or knows someone who is a caver. Ken Demarest has a passion for caving. Since January of 2016 Ken has visited caves in Mexico, TAG and Texas. His favorite trips have been camping in Fisher Ridge and hauling tanks in CM Shovel cave. Ken has worked hard to become proficient in vertical techniques and sketching, and he has taken NCRC to level 2. He is a member of the NSS and CRF, and currently serves in the position of Safety Chair for the Texas Speleological association tank haul. In 2016 Ken won the Chuck Stuehm award for Outstanding New Caver. He tries to emulate Chuck’s open, welcoming approach with new cavers, hosting ropes nights, and teaching new cavers vertical techniques. This webinar will be recorded and stored on the NSS website, www.caves.org for later viewing or downloading. The views in this webinar are not necessarily those of the NSS After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
