One researcher alleged that they believed it to composed of calcium-sulfate, sodium and magnesium.
My guess is that it rolled to this spot, pushed by wind, or was uplifted by wind or both from the dry pool where it was originally created in a liqueous environment. My bet is that there will be millions of these found. Size is allegedly only 5 mm
