Like many of you, I hope to be at the TSA Spring Convention this weekend.

As of 9:45 a.m., I am working on a delivery in the town of LaPorte far east
of Houston.

I have been self-employed for 20 years. In theory, I could drive straight
to Bandera right this minute. But the reality is that would be very
irresponsible. This delivery I am currently on, is more bizzare than
normal. I am trying to subpoena someone whose whereabouts are unknown,
but I have sent them a Facebook message. It could take days before I
finish this task ( that was supposed to be simple when I prepared the quote
), and I would not be surprised if I never complete this task.

Meanwhile, I need to stay available for new work if anyone calls before 4
p.m. I get about 90 % of my business on Friday afternoon, and my
deliveries often require Friday night service.

So when work is done, then there is an issue with my teenage daughter. It
would make me feel proud to show her off to my caving friends, but going on
a road-trip with her to Bandera and back is about as likely as President
Trump being awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the ACLU. I have
only seen her for about 10 minutes in the past 7 days, so my priority is to
spend some quality time with her soon. I am not on speaking terms with her
mom. And neither of them know I have been living with an ex-lover for the
past 32 days
( strictly a platonic thing now, unfortunately ). [ She is Cuban and sweet
and single and wants to marry someone other than me ]

My next major drama-issue, is all my stuff is still in a rental storage
unit in the town of Brenham, so I am left with the dilemma of driving there
first which is likely 100 miles out of the way or instead doing a road-trip
with no stuff.

This all is dejavu for me ( like the movie Groundhog Day ) from nearly
every road-trip of mine in the past few years, but it has been exxagerated
by problems remaining from Hurricane Harvey.

Anyways, I hope to arrive by noon on Saturday. If I can not get there by
nightfall, then I will have to skip out, but that would be a bummer.

Safe travel.
