The Sierra Club has been meeting at Schultz Beer Garden for several years now.
They have a large back room that (I think) may have a projector and, of coarse,
you have your beer and burger right there, even during the meeting.

I have some thoughts on UT Grotto's search for a meeting room. Someone
posted that we might need a max occupancy of 100. I have been counting our
biggest meetings for years, and they seem to max out around 65 people. So, 70
might work. A pizza/burger joint party room might have a 60" TV, which might
work for 20 people, but not well for 65. A digital projector on a wider screen
would be best, but rooms so equipped would likely rent for more. If we bring
our own projector, lap top and, perhaps a screen, we might get a cheaper room.
We might need two or three people who own projectors and lap tops, and decide
each week who is bringing it.
A branch library room might work, but people are going to want to go
somewhere for beer afterward. If the parking for the library and the beer
joint were close to the same, we might not have to move cars after the
meeting...which would bring more people to the second event. The formal
atmosphere of the library might help keep people from talking among themselves
during the meeting. Pete Strickland
