If the camera is small enough, a 3.5 or 6 liter Darren drum is ideal. Lightweight, very waterproof, and can be used to store other items, too. If it’s a small point-and-shoot camera, wrap it in a flexible neoprene beer coozie (the kind that you can flatten) and tuck it into the Darren drum.
The coozie also works well if you’re toting your waterproof small point and shoot around your neck while traveling through the cave. Just thread the neck strap through one of the holes in the cookie, and string it around your neck. It provides a small amount of protection while making it easy to remove the coozie from the camera and take a few snapshots. It’s NOT enough protection if you’re going through a tight squeeze, remove the camera and put it into the Darren drum. Diana ************************************************** Diana R.
