There are rumors that in the past year a total 40 people have been kidnapped and held for ransom in the state of Veracruz.
This is not far from the caving areas south of Orizaba. Last week, the owner of an aluminum company did not pay the ransom and his wife's lifeless head is now pictured on the news. Houston is also a dangerous town, but you can usually avoid the violent crime and keep your head attached if you don't go to bars, ATMs, gas stations, game-rooms at night.
