I can only imagine the best way to create electricity underground would be to find some air-flow, or water-flow. Or maybe to find a cave rodent, and put him or her in a caged-wheel. Or to use human-physical energy like a bicycle. Probably best to just bring lots of rechargeable batteries. And charge them some how near the entrance. Or ask NASA to loan one of those nuclear cells.
