of NCKRI news messages, but I'm forced to send them on their own because of a 
continued glitch with the advertisers and the ads I keep expecting in the 
region's newspapers haven't appeared now for three weeks. Please pass this on

The National Cave and Karst Research Institute (NCKRI) is hiring for three 
different jobs. You are also welcome to share this information on any e-lists, 
social media, or other outlets you have.

All positions will be based at NCKRI Headquarters in Carlsbad. NCKRI is 
administered by the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology ("New Mexico 
Tech" or "NMT") and all applications must be sent to NMT. The application form,

The three jobs are:

Cave and Karst Science Specialist. This person will conduct, assist with, and 
facilitate multidisciplinary cave and karst scientific and management research 
and data collection in the field, laboratory, and office. Basic knowledge of 
the physical sciences and scientific research methods is required. Advanced 
knowledge of cave exploration and working safely in cave and other field 
environments is required. Knowledge and experience with GIS software is highly

Education Program Manager. This person will administer the functions of the 
Institute's Education Program, which covers cave and karst education at levels 
from K-12 and the general public. This includes outreach for partnerships, 
developing educational activities, including curricula, workshops, seminars, 
field trips, and lecture series, and creating educational materials in all 
media. A Master's degree in education, science, environmental science, or 
environmental management is desired but may be substituted by equivalent 
experience. Must have at least 5 years of experience in conducting and 
developing educational programs, especially science-oriented. A broad science 
background is preferred and detailed knowledge of caves and karst is highly

Operations Division Director. This person will supervise and direct programs 
within the Institute's Administrative, Advancement, Financial, Information 
Technology, and Publications/Graphics programs, as well facility maintenance. A 
Bachelor's degree is preferred in Business Administration, with a minimum five 
years' experience in business high level administration required. No cave or 
karst knowledge or experience is needed. For more details visit
