Hello Joris,

Did you consider publishing TeXmacs manual as paper copy through
self-publishing companies like http://www.lulu.com/ ?

Doing a quick computation, with a 217 page manual (current english
manual), it would cost $0.02 * $217 + 4.53 = $8.87 as production cost
for a B&W book, flat binding, soft cover[1]. Lulu.com keeps 20% from
benefits of charged price so for a book sold $10, the TeXmacs project
could earn ($10 - $8.87) * 0.8 = $0.9. For a $15 charged price of the
same book, TeXmacs project could earn about $5 per book.

A full (or even partial) color copy of the manual would cost $0.15 * 217
+ $4.53 = $37.08.

Some editing would be necessary (only American sheet format are
accepted, setup color for B&W printing) but otherwise what is needed is
to upload a PDF file. No cost would be induced on your side.

On my own side, I'm ready to spent $10 to $25 (shipping charge included)
to have a printed copy of TeXmacs manual.

Best wishes,
d.
