It is true that the display can become slower than the keyboard
speed. I (along with many other people) also experienced this.


I think that this is related with the high quality of screen output,

Its mainly related to :
-> the speed of the machine ;
-> the length of the document ;
-> the depth of markup nesting in the document ;
-> the inner workings of the rendering algorithm ;


but could be this decreased to get a more responsive behavior?

The rendering algorithm is still being improved. Otherwise,
a faster machine could help. Another way to go would be
to implement a "preview", much poorer, but faster rendering
algorithm.
