TeXmacs is a powerful software but not so user-friendly for normal users, since
it behaves differently from most of other softwares in Windows or Linux. To
make it more easy to use, at least the following things may be done:

- Change default keyboard shortcuts to Windows/MacOSX style instead of Emacs
style
- Show real keyboard shortcut like Win+X or Cmd+X instead of Meta+X on menu
items
- When page width is less than window width, show page content in window center
- When some content is selected, the color and background color should be
changed
- Popup menu changes according to texmacs mode and shows only relative items
- Add a tabbar for showing all document names when multi documents are opened
- Frequently used icons such as "Save" in main toolbar should not have dropdown
menu
- When saving a new buffer, show "Save as" windows instead of "interactive
prompt"
- Recently opened directory should be remembered by "Load" and "Save as" windows
- When printing a document, show a printing window just like other softwares
- When Prompting unsaved document, show an three-button "Yes-No-Cancel" dialog
- Combine "Add package" and "Remove package" menus using check and uncheck items

I'm learning scheme/guile and will try my best to make some patches to texmacs.
Hope you are interested.
