An alternative solution to a possibly unrewarding constant tinkering of the
constant...

Same file, but now in function qt_gui_rep::check_event, Change lines 795 and
796 to read:


interrupted= (N(waiting_events) > 0);

//interrupted= true;


That is, uncomment the first line, comment the second. And you can leave
the time_credit set to its default value.
