I assume Joris had some reason not to implement one of those dialogs (or
maybe was it just a quick hack?), so although I also miss them I think it'd
be better to have them as an extra. I'll think about it and maybe start a
new thread here some day.

I agree it could be better. But you can use "Find next" now...
