(I put texmacs-dev in c/c)
Indeed seems a bug with TeXmacs. For example the text below
Più détermination é
in which the “détermination” is copied from the PDF view of the link you gave below, do not work properly, even if I copy it on a text editor and then copy it back to TeXmacs. However I just checked that if I now copy the line above into TeXmacs it works, so sometimes editors reencode this text in ways which are compatible with TeXmacs import filter. I conclude that there should be some ways of encoding accents which are not properly understood by TeXmacs.
For further reference I attach below a file where the text above is in such a form which cannot be copied reliably into TeXmacs.
Maybe Joris would like to look into it.

hi Massimiliano and thanks foryour answer this was for the pdf at the bottom of this page i found a solution using notepad++ (with wine) i copyed from the pdf viewer to notepad++ and then to texmacs Vincent
As far as I know this is not possible. You have to copy in such a way that texmacs performs a conversion from the appropriate encoding. Actually on my Mac copy and paste of a text with accented characters works just fine (from example from another Text Editor). Maybe you want to try to do “Copy From” and choose “HTML”.

hi when i copy/paste some text from some websites, the "é" characters become "e `" i guess it is an encoding issue where can i find how to change the encoding of my tm document ? i looked in all the menus and tried to find out which help document could inform me but did not find any idea ?
