Dear Giorgio, TeXmacs is alive and kicking. Many of us (also developers) use it every day and also rely heavily on it.
TeXmacs 2.1 will be released soon and then the plan is to start including support for Qt5 and Guile2+ which will bring back TeXmacs into the main distributions.
