nobody can prevent en.wikibooks from hosting GFDL content. It is up to the volunteers at wikibooks to determn what content to host. Volunteers will vote with their time and effort: anything that gets moved before the simple english project closes can b kept. anything else can go.
I'm particularly happy to hear about this project closure, I've been lobbying for it for years.
