Hello, As we've seen discussions recently about a future version of Trac Hack (with Trac 0.11 or even 0.12, eventually with Mercurial support), this could also be the occasion to enhance the way ownership and maintenance work there.
Ideally, a component owner should be able to grant write access to his component to other Trac Hacks users, in order to be able to distribute the maintenance work and in general move away from isolated development islands to a more collaborative style. The "owner" for a ticket from component XYZ could also be set to XYZ-team, with notifications sent to all maintainers. The @XYZ-team members would also have more effective permissions on the tickets they're in charge of, like the possibility to edit the description or delete comments.
