Dear All, Well, people may say that the "spontaneous" responses from the award winners may have been prepared early adn kept of possible use. Even if so, the credit of saying these for audience around the world is laudable and appreciated.
Our politicians thrive on for political, judiciary and social systems .... Recently a ruling party MLA at bangalore was caught redhanded while accepting bribe by Lok Ayuktha police. Lucky for him was that it happened on a Friday. He complained of chest pain and admitted to well knwon hospital. The doctors discharged him. He got himself admitted to another hospital and "stayed" on. Monday, Tuesday came and was produced before a magistrate; he managed to evade arrest and got a bail. He was seen hovring in the chambers of Vidhan soudha. He attended the legislatute session. All of us aware of the live telecast of assembly proceedings in UP and AP and many state legislatures (and recorded video coverage of corporation and municipal proceedings). Still worse : Last April07, an MP's passport was used in smuglling someone else's wif. Both travellers who were travelling on impersonated PP were caught at Indira Gandhi International airport before boarding the flight to Canada. The well respected speaker of Lok Sabha had said that the matter wold be referred to Pariamentary Privileges committee. NOTHING happened so far. The media followed this for about two months and now it is forgotten. If an ordinary citizen commits such mistakes, his life becomes miserable and police torture him. If politician ( and inflential person close to politiciand) does he is "honoured" with retention of faciliteis that they enjoyed. The recent Sathyam case is classic. So on and so on we can list In our society we tolerate anything. We accpet that. That is why we are living well against all diversities. Even Supreme court made an obseravtion that GOD ONLY CAN SAVE US. In China, recently six persons were awarded deatrh pemnalty in the Cow's milk adulteration that rocked China and few other countries which inmported these milk product. Politicanjs live on this tolerance swaminathan . On 2/27/09, Srinivasan MS <[email protected]> wrote: > > > *Loud Thinking* > > * * > > *"I always had a choice between love and hate in my life.
