*well i expected this from horse mouth. man is always biased depending upon the piquent situation he is put. i made it very clear that it was from very famous magazine brahmin today. when i was writing articles on some good poetic composition by muslim,i was condemned as pseudo socialist without knowing what was conveyed. now hue is raised when this article was shared. i enjoyed it . hindu relegion that a man get maximm bliss from almighty when he prays in the form music, and pracitaly all relegion the same principle.. My interpretation of brahmin is a person with his good virtue nears the brahman. music is one of the medium to achieve this. mere borned in brahmin family does not make you brahmin. Literaly speaking allah rakha khan bismilla khan and yesudas are the real diciples of goddess saraswati and are real brahmin by karma. Over and above the approach to humanity makes a man brahmin by virtue.* *I will tell you a personal experaince. on a friday i was playing semi final footbal tournament as a stopper .10 min before the final whistle tow players jumped on my ankles, i fell down writhing in pain. from the crowd a muslim came running wound his scarf around my ankle over the shoes and requested me to hold the fort 10 more min. After the final whistle he took me to his house and started .massaging my injured ankels. I insisted that he should go for his friday namaz. he said that serving the needy human is greatest namaz to allah*. * being a brahman i felt he isa real brahin by virtue nearer to brahman. Let us take good things from wherever it comes with open hear and rise above self.* *I hope you will take sportingly my blunt observations. *
Dear Sir, If you are biased, you can interpret all events with that basic bias. I know when Ustad Bismillah Khan was invited to be a visiting lecturer in some university in USA, he refused the offer saying that I cannot bring my Ganga and Banares there. It is a matter of simple dedication to a profession and any number of non brahmins have contributed to the growth and progress of carnatic music and bharata naatyam. Let us learn to shed the bias in looking at everything.
