For the ex-factory worker dropped his mobile phone on to a rail line and when he got on the track to find it he was hit by a 100mph train. Incredibly, the 56-year-old escaped with a broken pelvis, two busted ribs and an injured hand. Back home yesterday after three days in hospital, he said: "I'm not a hero, I'm an idiot. I can't believe I'm still alive." Reliving the terrifying moment, Noah - who is partially deaf and has impaired vision - recalled: "I suddenly saw the train speeding towards me. I tried to leap out of the way but it was too late." He was flung off the tracks and a dog walker raised the alarm. Noah said: "A police officer who found me said that he couldn't believe I was still breathing and the doctors were astounded that I survived." The train from Birmingham to Cardiff hit Noah at 7.30pm on Saturday near his home at Tibberton, Worcs. He said: "I've been lucky - I'll never go anywhere near the railway lines again." And he added: "I don't even have the phone anymore - it got smashed into a million pieces." Voice of the Mirror: Page 10
