More on Reversing “Old Age”
It has been proved scientifically that old age (arteriosclerosis) is mostly due
to the abnormality developing in the inner lining of blood vessels that
transport oxygen carrying blood from heart to the various tissues of the body.
When this lining gets thickened from the deposit of bad cholesterol and
associated inflammation, the activity of nitric oxide (produced in the inner
lining to keep the blood vessel wide open) decreases, resulting in partial or
complete blockage of the blood vessel. This leads to lack of life-sustaining
oxygen in the tissues supplied by the particular blood vessel causing old
age-like conditions in that tissue (brain, skin, eyes, kidneys etc).

We know that bad cholesterol (LDL) contributes to this abnormality and that
when humans take cholesterol lowering drugs, they reduce death from heart and
blood vessel diseases. Besides reducing bad cholesterol, these drugs also cut
down inflammation and improve the activity of nitric oxide that brings more
blood to the tissues that are starving for oxygen. Because nitric oxide is also
produced in the lining of the nose, you can increase your nitric oxide further
by taking deep and forceful breaths through the nose repeatedly (like they
teach during Yoga exercises).

In my opinion, you can also increase your nitric oxide by doing good deeds in
life (helping the helpless people unconditionally and in secret). Another way
to produce more nitric oxide is to think repeatedly of positive past events
when you had performed good deeds for others. Every time you think of your past
positive karma, you will produce nitric oxide. Unlike adrenaline (the hormone
contributing to old age) that is connected with stress, nitric oxide is
connected with relaxation and healthy body. Therefore, you must avoid thinking
of your negative past karma/experiences - bad water has gone under the bridge
and there is no point in digging old graves. Such negative thoughts can only
produce more of adrenaline, causing high blood pressure and further strain on
the aging heart. Because bad deeds produce adrenaline, it is a good idea not to
commit bad deeds (lying, cheating, and hurting others). Simply by doing good
deeds and avoiding bad deeds in life, you can stay healthy (therefore, happy)
and live long. In other words, you can find heaven on this earth. That means
you do not have to die to find your heaven.

In summary, if you follow the following prescription, you will find heaven on
earth:

1. Eat less food (take only small portions) - you will eat less cholesterol and
less of oxidants (oxidants make the bad cholesterol deposit on the blood
vessels – see my last article on aging).
2. When hungry (no time-table neede), eat more of vegetables, fruits, fish,
nuts - idea is to avoid eating bad cholesterol while having a good bowel
movement daily (for a healthy colon).
3. Do 20 min of exercise daily to tone up your muscles and blood vessels.
4. Control you mind: block thoughts of negative past events and replace them
with thoughts of your positive past experiences (with practice, this is not
impossible). Idea is to reduce adrenaline and increase nitric oxide in your
system.
5. Avoid bad deeds (no more lying, cheating and hurting others). Remember that
bottom line in life is your health, not money.
6. Do a good deed at least once a week (help others unconditionally). This will
realistically relax you to induce peace of mind, self-confidence and
creativity.

If you have doubts about the effectiveness of this prescription, try it for
yourself and within a month you will find that the grass is greener and the sky
is bluer.
