Thirumaal must not mind our
shortcomings…<http://jayasree-saranathan.blogspot.com/2010/03/thirumaal-must-not-mind-our.html>
In the previous part, the poet expressed the inability of ordinary folks
like him in understanding the greatness of Thirumaal.

He continues with a humble tone which is a shred similar to what Arjuna told
Krishna in the Warfield and what Andal told in Thiruppaavai – that Thirumaal
must not mind his lack of wisdom and foolish talks about Him that were in
the nature of undermining His greatness. Thirumaal must bless him (the poet)
unmindful of his unwise talks.

is addressed as அல்லி அம் திரு மறு மார்ப.

It is interpreted in two ways by the commentator.
The அல்லி is interpreted as the lotus.
Lakshmi who is seated on the beautiful Lotus is mentioned here.

திரு மறு மார்ப is explained as “திருவாகிய மறு”

Lakshmi is referred to as the Mole or Maru.
It also means “சிறிதும் களங்கம் (மறு = களங்கம்) இல்லாத மார்பனே .” (blemish
less)

The poet continues from the previous part conceding that it is difficult to
understand the glory of Thirumaal.

Yet he dares to talk about Him and His glory.
Such a talk will be fraught with lack of insight and knowledge about Him.
Thirumaal must not mind such talks nor detest him for talking like that.
In spite of the shortcomings, the poet dares to talk about Him due to love
of Him.
Therefore Thirumaal must bless him – and not disregard him keeping this
(poet’s love for Him) in mind.

A similar expression is seen in Thiruppaavai -
