Dcan have . The pursuit of the Infinite , this effort to get beyond
the limitations of the senses
out of matter , as it were , and to evolce the spiritual person ---this
striving day and night to
make the Infinite one with our being , this struggle itself , is
the grandest and most glorious
that human being can have.

It is good to conquer our external nature, but grander still to
conquer our internal nature. It is good to know the laws that govern
the stars and planets , but it is infinitely better toknow the
laws that govern the passions the feelings and the will of humanity.
This conquering of the inner person , understanding the subtle
workings that are within the human mind , and knowing its wonderful
secrets belongs entirely to religion.
Swami vivekananda,
 the complete works volume 2;65,66.

God is more intimate to things than things are to
themselves, St Augustine,
Indias rishis , her great sages , regarded religion as a science,
the practice of which severs
the bonds of human suffering and reunites the conciousness with the
cosmic joy of God
, in whose image we are made.Yet many people hesitate saying , Iam
not ready for spirituality, This is the greatest untruth one can
speak, Why ? BEcause the soul is like a round peg that will not
fit into the square hole of delusion. The one thing that every
one seeking -- unalloyd happiness--the world cannot give, Hence there
are thousands of unhappy people through out theworld,
Paramahamsa Yogananda the divine romace.

It is my beleif that only by a generous and unqualified
acceptance of spiritual concepts can religion become truly
significant in this age and provide that firm bed rock of
inner values upon which an integrated and coherent super structure
of material welfare and intellectual emancipation
can be raised,
If religion remains bound within the shackles of narrow
orthodoxy, it will become increasingly irrelevent to the rising
generation , and humanity will be left with an inner void
that no amount of material progress will be able to fill.
Dr. Karan Singh.

This world and all of us in it are created by you. Oh Lord
and you are yourself living within each of us, We could call a
person base and evil only if there were some other God
present within him or if he had been created by some one
else. Guru Nanak.

Ages have passed turning the beads But turning of the heart
has not occured, Put aside the beads of the hand
andturn the beads of the heart. Kabir.

Seekest thou liberation oh my soul ?
Seekest thou Supreme knowledge, supreme wisdom, supreme bliss? Then
mayest thou enter the path, Fearest thou toil and hardship
therein ?
Nay, fear not , for Love is the guide and Life is the goal.
Srimatha Gayathri Devi,

As long as the bee is outside the petals of the lotus and has
not tasted the honey , it hovers around the flowers emmitting
its buzzing sound., But when it is inside the flower
it drinks its necter noiselessly, As long as we quarrel and
dispute about doctrines and dogmas , we have not tasted the
nectar of true faith, when we have tasted it we become
still. Sri Ramakrishna.

If we remain in the level of inages and concepts we will always
find differences. It is only in the mystical experience of
transcendent reality that we can rise above all differences,
all dualisms which divide the different religious traditions.
Each religion has its own unique insight into the supreme
reality and expresses it in different images and concepts.
Father Bede Griffiths.
