A Ratha Yathra organised by Sri Rama Nama Bank, Chennai, with 1008 crores of Sri Rama Nama, arrives at Sri Anjaneyar Temple, Panchavati near Pondicherry by 12.00 noon on Sunday the 12th December 2010. After performing Sri Rama Nama chanting in Panchavati Temple, the Yathra duly decorated starts for Pondicherry by 3.30 p.m. The Yathra will be received by the devotees of Pondicherry in Gorimedu, with Poorna Kumbam, by about 4.00 p.m. Then the same will be taken on a procession from Rajiv Gandhi Statue, to Jayaram Thirumana Nilayam. The procession will be headed by an Elephant, and followed by Nadaswaram, thousands of students, hundreds of Bhagavathas and thousands of devotees chanting Sri Rama Nama. . Sri Sri Thirukoilur Jeer Swamigal has kindly consented to preside over the procession . The procession will reach Jayaram Thirumana Nilayam by 6.00 p.m., where the Rama Nama Kosams will be placed for darshan by the deotees of Pondicherry and suburbs, upto 8.00 a.m. on Wednesday the 15th December 2010, whereafter the Yathra will proceed to Chidambaram via Cuddalore.
