BCIG Supporter C.H.E sends us the following just in time for our New Year’s resolution making: FYI: The “All-purpose health intervention”? This video has gone “viral” in the past few days…disseminating a great message. Now if we could do large scale, real-world yet robust trials and implementation with people who have multiple chronic conditions, how much of an impact could we have? Of course, dissemination methods and evaluating uptake would be critical, but one should be able to capitalize on this type of social media communication. I found this well worth the nine minutes of video: http://devour.com/video/23-and-a-half-hours/ This is the single best thing you can do for your health<http://thenextweb.com/shareables/2011/12/12/this-is-the-single-best-thing-you-can-do-for-your-health/> 12th December 2011 by Harrison Weber<http://thenextweb.com/author/harrisonweber/> A doctor/professor answers the age old question “What is the single best thing we can do for our health?” in a completely new and entertaining way. Dr. Mike Evans is the founder of the Health Design Lab<http://www.hdlab.ca/>, where they “fuse creatives and clinicians.” He’s also an Associate Professor of Family Medicine and Public Health at the University of Toronto, and a staff physician at St. Michael’s Hospital. Dr. Evans asks us one simple question: “Can you limit your sitting and sleeping to just 23 and a half hours a day?” It’s an impactful question for many of us that spend much of their time working on a computer (including myself). Other than refusing to sit<http://www.hulu.com/watch/306110/the-office-this-will-not-stand#s-p2-sr-i1>, what do you do to stay healthy? Thanks C.H.E.!
