jack jacob Date: Thu, 8 Mar 2012 03:17:59 -0400 hi all, I don't know whether this will be of any interest-- the Bangladesh foreign minister has written to me to be in Dhaka from 24 to 27 march to be honoured by the president/prime minister along with some others who had contributed to the liberation of Bangladesh. i am told they are awarding me a high decoration. it is nice to know that Bangladesh remembers and honours those who took part in the liberation of their country. i served in the army from 1941 to 1978. other than campaign medals from world war 11 onwards, i do not have any decoration from the government of India. i only have a pvsm awarded to me in mar 1972 .. regards.....jack...jacob -- With best wishes S Chander
