One unfortunate night, Adam reported for duty, slightly drunk. Bob quickly sensed the situation, and disapproved of it; however, he didn't mention anything to Adam. It was Bob’s turn to write the log that night. Next morning, when Adam was signing off, he noticed Bob’s entry in the log, ‘Adam reported for duty on time. Tonight he was drunk.’ Adam requested Bob to delete the comment about his being drunk. But Bob insisted on stating the facts as they are. It was Adam’s turn to write the log the next night. As Bob was signing off the following morning, he noticed Adam’s entry in the log. It read, ‘Bob reported for duty on time.
