பன்னிரு ஆழ்வார்கள் 63 நாயன்மார்கள் பற்றிய பதிவின் தொடர்ச்சியாக பன்னிரு ஆழ்வார்கள் பற்றிய பதிவு (இணையத்தில் காணக் கிடைக்கும் கட்டுரைகளின் அடிப்படையிலும் சொந்தச் சரக்கு ஆங்காங்கே தெளிக்கப் பெற்றும்) இனி ஒவ்வொரு வாரமும் வியாழக்கிழமை அன்று மால் மருகன் பழனி ஆண்டவன் அருளால் தொடரும். அன்பர்கள் படித்துப் பயனுற வேண்டியது.
*ஆழ்வார்கள்* வைணவ நெறியைப் பின்பற்றி பக்தியில் சிறந்து விளங்கிய பன்னிருவர் ஆழ்வார் எனப்படுவர். *வரலாறு* கி.பி. 6-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் ஆரம்பத்தில் வைணவம் புத்துயிர் பெறத் தொடங்கியது. தேவார மூவரைப் போல திருமால் அழகிலும் குணத்திலும் ஆழ்ந்து நெஞ்சுருகப் பாடியுள்ளனர். அவர்கள் பாடிய 4000 பாடல்களையும் (பாசுரங்கள்) 11-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டில் நாதமுனி என்பவர் நாலாயிரத்திவ்விய பிரபந்தம் என்னும் பெயரில் நூலாகத் தொகுத்தார். பன்னிரு ஆழ்வார்களின் நூல்களே வைணவப் பக்தி இலக்கியங்களாகும். *பன்னிரு ஆழ்வார்கள்* பொய்கையாழ்வார் பூதத்தாழ்வார் பேயாழ்வார் திருமழிசையாழ்வார் நம்மாழ்வார் மதுரகவி ஆழ்வார் குலசேகர ஆழ்வார் பெரியாழ்வார் தொண்டரடிப்பொடியாழ்வார் திருப்பாணாழ்வார் திருமங்கையாழ்வார் ஆண்டாள் Azhvars (Courtesy: Srinivasa Ragavan) Narayana, the ultimate and HE pervades in all. The ardent devotees who are immersed in God Narayanaare called Azhvars. The period of Azhvars is said to be between 6th and 9th Century. There are 12 Azhvarsincluding 'Sri Andal'. The collection of their hyms is called 'Divya Prabandham' [திவ்ய பிரபந்தம்]. They are 4000 in number. The reason for Azhvars to appear on this Earth is to spread the bakthi of Sriman Narayana. It is to be noticed that the weapons like disc, sword, conch, etc have incarnated as Azhvars, mainly to sing in praise of the Lord and to serve Him in his abode. They're part and parcel of the Lord, Sriman Narayana. Their hymns are said to be equivalent to Vedas, Upanishads, and Bagavat Gita. As the very ancient language, Sankskrit is difficult to understand and have in depth meanings, Azhvars have sung 'Paasurams' which are easily understandable and have meanings that are said to be as equal to Vedas. Though Azhvars hail from Tamil Nadu [hence also known as Dravida saints], they belong to the whole human community and this blog on them might be having tamiltint in it. For people who do not know 'tamil', relevantenglish translation for some of the words can be seen. Nithiya Sooriyargal or Nithya Soorigal [meaning Nithiya-ever, Sooriyargal-Sun]. They've the effulgence [in knowledge] like a Sun and this is forever. It does not vanish on time. Azhvars are said to be 'Nithya Sooryas'.
