The mail given below about the rebirth of Lord Ganesh in Gujarat with the
pictures of a baby with trunk is rumour and not true.
I give below a report published in Deshgujarat:
Surat, 22 September 2014A message with photograph triggered by someone on
Whatapp and other social media platforms is causing headache to the staff of
Surat’s new civil hospital.For last some days, on an average daily 200-300
visitors come to the new Civil hospital in Surat to inquire about ward number
of an infant baby who looks like Lord Ganesha.A rumor on birth of a Ganesha
like child in this hospital is spreading mainly through Whatsapp. The message
claims that a woman from Pandesara area of city has given birth to a child who
looks like Ganpati. The Whatsapp message features a photograph of “this baby”.
The photograph has been actually taken during Ganesh Utsav in Chautapul area of
city where a Ganesh murti featuring a child was worshiped. Wider and wider
spread of this photo and message is pushing more and more visitors to new civil
hospital everyday. Curious visitors inquiring about ward number of Ganesha-look
alike child are causing headache to security persons.
