More on Simhastha and Ujjain Mela as follows:
Importance of Simhasth Mahakumbh in Vedas
The Indian culture, which is rich in spiritual, cultural and religious
aspects; not only emphasises on refining the lifestyle of a man, but also
gives equal stress on respect towards festivals and pilgrimage centres.
The world famous Simhasth Mahakumbh is a religious, spiritual and cultural
mega festival where a person feels self-purification and welfare. Millions
of devotees follow the tradition by attending Simhasth Mahakumbh and also
perform the rituals recommended by Vedas.
Seers from all over world arrive here during Simhasth Mahakumbh and
pilgrims find solace in their company in order to make their lives better.
They look for Moksha (salvation) which means freedom from all kinds of
bonds and attachment. In Indian culture, Moksha is the ultimate goal of
life when a person gets rid of the cycle of life and death.
The seers assemble at one place leaving behind their “Tap Sadhna” for the
welfare of people. They share their experiences and wisdom with the common
people.
The assemblage of Rishi, Maharishi, Sadhu, Sant, and scholars in Simhasth
Mahakumbh strengthens the spiritual tradition of the nation. This helps
develop the religious atmosphere in the country.
