We have come for a limited time to this world we all know  but why do we start
whining and feel angry and upset at any unpleasant circumstance words or snide
and sarcastic remarks and the silliest part we are scared of any negative
situation  .just a prayer and a silent communication with our own inner calm
can help us .worry about children is understandable .about excerpts from Vedas
do we still believe it is a bundle of blind rituals a humble doubt that is all
we honestly don't know what will happen the next moment and I humbly believe
been friendly and supportive in all situations has more power than a shower of
invectives old resentments .pls let us treat ourselves. Think about our
children and how tensed they will be do we really want that in the last year's
of our life.regards jayshree venkatraman

Vedic Verses for 2/25/17

The Sprite of the Forest never slays, unless one approaches in fury. One may
eat at will of her luscious fruits and rest in her shade at one's pleasure.

Rig Veda X, 146, 5

Adorned with fragrant perfumes and balms, she needs not to toil for her food.
Mother of untamed forest beasts, Sprite of the wood, I salute you!

Rig Veda X, 146, 6

Gracious to us be the trembling earth, when struck by the fiery meteor.
Gracious be the cows yielding red milk, gracious be the earth receding.

Atharva Veda XIX, 9, 8

Gracious be the constellations struck by the meteor, gracious incantations and
all magic! Gracious to us be buried charms, the meteors and plagues that
afflict us.

Atharva Veda XIX, 9, 9

Gracious to us be the stars and the moon, gracious the sun and Rahu, gracious
be Death with his banner of smoke, gracious the powerful Rudras.
