16.2. THE GREATNESS OF VEDAS.

The Siva yuva guru approached the rushis. They all sat in front of the
Sivalingam and the exchange of knowledge began earnestly!

“The best among the Gods is Siva. He is the personification of Tatvam. The
Vedas have originated from Siva. He is the real advaitha, sudhdha, swayam
prakaasan. He is the paraaparan!

He is the swayambu. He is sinless and pure. He is the personification of
knowledge. He is the para Brahma swaroopan. He is the most auspicious of
all the Gods.

The roopam of the Vedas is the Sivalingam. The meaning of the Sivalingam is
the Vedas. Sivalingam and the Vedas are related as closely as a word and
its meaning. Lingam and Vedas are one and the same.”

The Siva guru went on to explain the tatvam behind the Sivalingam. He
explained the greatness of the three letters forming the Pranavam viz ‘a’,
‘u’ and ‘m’.

He explained the greatness of Naadam and Bindu; the Gaayadri manthraa; the
28 Siva aagamaas; the birth of the four Vedas; the need for the Karma
Kaandaa and the Gnaana Kaandaa; the need for performing one’s nithya,
naimithika karmaas, the kaameeya karmaas and the promise of mukthi -if
these are performed in front of a Sivalingam!

The uththama guru explained everything the rushis ever wanted to know. He
then stroked the heads of his old disciple rushis very gently, blessing
them further and imparting to them pure knowledge, pure bliss and pure
peace of mind!

He then walked back into the garba gruha and merged with the main deity
right in front of their eyes!
