*“The sea has been tamed! But I still have my unfailing clouds seven in number.They can cause the destruction and deluge the sea failed to cause!”* *He ordered his loyal clouds to flood and destroy Madhuraapuri completely. Those were the dark rain clouds. They crackled with lightning, roared with a thunderous noise and left on their mission.* *There was a terrifying hail storm. A single hailstone was large enough to crack the skull of the fully grown man. The wind blew as a storm and the whole city became dark and sinister,* *The only refuge left was Lord Siva and the only safe place His temple. Everyone gathered there praying for His mercy and protection.* *Siva summoned the four clouds residing on his matted coils of hair.He told them, “It is now your duty to protect the city and its citizens. Go forth and form a protective umbrella from the four directions of the city!”* *The four clouds left on their new mission, swifter than thoughts. They took position one in each direction and spread themselves out forming a giant protective umbrella over the whole city.* *The hailstorm could not penetrate the shield formed by these four clouds. The hail stones got thrown in all directions and not a single stone could penetrate the umbrella of the four clouds. The shield saved the city.* *A thorn is removed by a thorn. A fire is extinguished by a fire. But here the onslaught of clouds was fought back by clouds themselves!
