*The all powerful Siddha* Abhisheka PaaNdiyan did not forget the kindness shown by Lord Siva. The God who is easily won by the devotee’s love wanted to play a prank with him. He transformed himself into a young and handsome siddha purusha. He sported long coils of hair and wore a tiger skin. He smeared the holy ash on his forehead and held a stick with gold rims. He performed stunning miracles in the most populated areas of the city. He would convert a man into a woman, a woman into a man, old people into youngsters and youngsters into old people. He would straighten the hunchback of man in a moment and give the gift of eyesight to a blind man. A deaf man would be able to hear well, a dumb man would be able to talk fluently and a lame man would walk and run like normal people. He could convert baser metals into gold. An illiterate would become a pundit and a shrew would become the most docile woman in the world. As the tales of these stunning miracles spread in the country, the king Abhisheka PaaNdian became an ardent admirer of the Siddha purusha. He wished to meet him in person and pay his obeisance to that great young man. He sent some messengers to bring that Siddha purusha to the palace. The messengers forgot their orders and stood mesmerized in the miracles performed by him. The king then sent his trusted ministers. But the Siddha said, “I will be of no use to your king and I will not come to meet him” The king was not surprised to hear this. He knew that a Siddha purusha could not be controlled or manipulated even by Indra – the king of Deva.
