Most of us are not aware of various political actions in the merger of J & K. How we lost Northern areas ie Gilgit and Baltistan.
Sheikh Abdulah was not keen on areas now under POK because that area had no Kashmiri culture. It had a mixture of Dogri and Punjabi Culture. Shiekh was not keen because he might lose majority votes. Please watch this video where Dr Ajmal Mirza, an ex POK citizen, explains certain issues. Was Sheikh interested in the Northern Area which was dominated by Shias. No, the Sunni Kashmeri had no love for them. Again Vote Bank was another issue.
