Since when SA, became a Leftist’s magazine writing on non-scientific subjects?   It is calling the Green Revolution started by Shastri ji as USA plot against RED farming. It says that food shortage in India in the fifties and sixties was at best, a fiction.   India was living on ship to mouth in those times. USA was deliberately delaying wheat ships to India as punishment for siding with Soviets even after enacting PL480. For record, Shastriji imported wheat seeds from a South American country by spending precious foreign exchange of some 200-300,000 USD and thus started the Green Revolution.
