Q1 What should one do if he has developed a diabeticfoot? A1 Linette Charlebois UpdatedNovember 13-2020.Studied at Medical Student (2015-present) If you have diabetes information about how to manage your condition isvital to your wellbeing. If you don't look after yourfeet you run the risk of developing sores or infections that could, in theworst case scenario, lead to amputations. As happened to myfather-in-law. Reduce your risk of infection or amputation by incorporatingthese 7 foot care tips... 1) Check your feet daily - especially if you have low sensitivity or nofeeling in your feet. Sores, cuts and grazes could go unnoticed and you coulddevelop problems leading to amputations. 2) Don't go around barefoot, even indoors. It's easy to tread on something orstub your toes and cut yourself. Protect your feet with socks/stockings and shoes/slippers. 3) Be careful if you have cornsor calluses. Check with your doctoror podiatrist the best way to care for them. 4) Wash your feet daily in warm,NOT HOT water. And don't soak yourfeet (even if you've been standing all day) because it could dry your skin andform cracks or sores. 5) Take extra care to dry yourfeet completely, especiallybetween your toes. These are natural moisture traps - leaving them damp or wetcould create all sorts of problems. 6) Exercise your legs and feetregularly. Even when sitting youcan rotate your ankles; wiggle your toes or move your legs up and down. Theseall keep your blood circulation flowing and helps to minimize the risk of foot problems. 7) Get your feet professionallychecked, at least once a year, forsensitivity and signs of any problems. You can usually arrange this when youhave your annual check up for your AC1 levels (blood glucose levels over a3-month period), blood pressure and cholesterol. Take constant care of your feet.Get help from a relative or professional; Doctor, diabetic nurse or podiatrist if you are not able to bend whentrimming nails or checking for sores. Taking these simple actions will help youreduce the risk of painful problems. Riding on a chariot, Uddhava reachedVraja at sunset. Nanda Mahārāja, welcoming Uddhava warmly into his home, worshiped him as non different from Lord Vāsudeva, fed him nicely, seated himcomfortably upon a bed and then inquired from him about the welfare of Vasudevaand his sons, Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma. Text 17: Fortunately, because of his own sins, the sinful Kaṁsa has been killed, along with all his brothers. Healways hated the saintly and righteous Yadus. Text 18: Does Kṛṣṇa remember us? Does He remember His mother and His friends andwell-wishers? Does He remember the cowherds and their village of Vraja, ofwhich He is the master? Does He remember the cows, Vṛndāvana forest and Govardhana Hill? Text 19: Will Govinda return evenonce to see His family? The cowherd Nanda came (there) with young cowherdsand hosts of (other) cowherds. Yaśodā also came there with well-decoratedladies. (Skipping some parts) Cowherds like Nanda, ladies like Yasodā werehonoured with many ornaments of gold and jewels and with garments. They werealso delighted in that marriage-celebration. There wasonce a solar eclipse, so people from all over India made a pilgrimage to theSamanta Panchaka of five ponds of Kurukshetra. The Srimad Bhagavatam describes Sri Krishna and theYadavas meeting Nandagopa and Yashoda there. Seeing Nanda, the Vṛṣṇis were delighted and stood up like dead bodies coming back to life.Having felt much distress at not seeing him for so long, they held him in atight embrace. Vasudeva embraced Nanda Mahārāja with great joy. Beside himselfwith ecstatic love, Vasudeva remembered the troubles Kaṁsa had caused him, forcing him to leave his sons inGokula for Their safety. O hero of the Kurus, Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma embraced Their foster parents andbowed down to them, but Their throats were so choked up with tears of love thatthe two Lords could say nothing. Raising their two sons onto their laps andholding Them in their arms, Nanda and saintly mother Yaśodā forgot their sorrow. Ref: Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 10Chapter 82 4th incident According to Padma Puran, Bhagwan Sri Krsna returned to Gokula after he had slain Sisupala andDantavaktra. He met there his foster parents, Nanda Maharaj and Yashoda Maiyaas well as his cowherd friends and consoled them. He even stayed therefor two months. During this time he blessed the cowherdesses and sported withthem on the banks of River Yamuna. Then, all the residents of Nandavrajaincluding the animals and birds assumed divine forms and departed to SriVaikuntha by the blessings of Sri Krishna. Kṛṣṇa also, having killedhim (i.e. Śiśupāla), having crossed Yamunā, having gone to Nandavraja, havingsaluted his old parents, and having consoled them and embraced by them withtheir throats (choked) with tears, having embraced all old cowherds, havingcheered them up with gems, ornaments, etc. gratified the residents there. On the charming sandy bank ofYamunā, covered with auspicious trees, Kṛṣṇa incessantly sported with the cow-herdesses. Then all the cowherds likeNanda, all people along. with their sons and wives, beasts, birds, andanimals took up a divine form due to Kṛṣṇa’s favour, got into an aeroplane, and reached thehighest world of Viṣṇu. A6 Akash Bora Updated 29-1-2021Studied at Jbm Global School (Graduated 2018) He wasn't evil at all. He was just a part of something big that waspre-decided. Samba was the son of Lord Krishna and Jambavati. All of the other wives of Krishna had given birth to many children, whereas on the other hand, Jambavatihadn’t given birth to any child. Jambavati, the third wife of Krishna, was theone without any children. She approached Krishna and requested him to give hera son. Krishna went to the hermitage of Sage Upamanyu, and per his advice, started doing penance to please Lord Shiva. After sixmonths, Shiva was pleased and appeared before Krishna in his Ardhanarishwaraform (half-male, half-female). Krishna asked for a son, and the wish wasgranted. Krishna wantedhis son Samba to be exactly like Shiva, and as we all know Shiva's mainfunction is to destroy. Soon, ason was born to Jambavati. SinceShiva’s Ardhanarishvara form is also called Samba, Jambavati’s son was namedSamba. Samba ended up being the cause for the destruction of the entire Yadavarace. It is said that Krishna being the supreme power, already knew what wascoming and was well aware that the Yadus are powerful & cannot be defeatedby anyone. He knew itwas time for the Yuga (epoch) to come to an end and so, he brought his sonSamba into this world, to destroy the clan. Samba wedding with Lakshamana. Samba grew up to become a very handsome prince. In the meantime, Duryodhana's beautiful daughter,Lakshamana, came of age. There was a svayamvar, where she had thefreedom to choose her own future husband, a great many kings and princesattended the ceremony. Samba was also present at the ceremony. However, instead of waiting to seewho she choose, he abducted her by force and took her away, right in front ofthe shocked crowd. Duryodhana's family was outraged and embarrassed. They all got into their own chariotsand chased Samba. He was finally caught and arrested in the kingdom of theKauravas. Samba was kept in jail, where he was treated very badly and washumiliated in every way possible. The news of the capture eventually reached Krishna's ears. Consideringhis son's heinous crime and the fact that the Kauravas were his worst enemies,he decided not to rescue Samba. Krishna’s brother, Balarama, was extremely fond of his nephew. He decided to bring him back from theKauravas' kingdom. He approached Duryodhana and requested him, but Duryodhanaflatly refused to release the prince. Balarama used his weapon, the plough, tobreak down the walls of the prison. He destroyed all the soldiers who tried tostop him in his tracks. TheKauravas were alarmed seeing Balarama's sheer power and quickly released Samba. Not satisfied with his nephew's release, Balaramademanded that Lakshamana be wedded to Samba. Duryodhana, out of fear forBalarama's power, let his daughter leave with Balarama. Balarama alreadyknew that Lakshamana was secretly in love with Samba and washappy with the way things were turning out for his dear nephew. They thenreturned to Dwaraka, Krishna's kingdom, along with Samba and Lakshamana.Krishna, the Pandavas, and the Kauravas were essentially Kshatriyas – theybelonged to the warrior caste. In this society, it was acceptable toabduct a bride, though it was generally done only with the mutual consent ofall the parties involved. Lakshamana was happy at the turn of events, as she hadloved Samba for a very long time, and was unable to tell anyone about it. Soonenough, they both settled down into happy married life. The Curse by Sages to Samba. Once, three great sages decided to visit Krishna's palace in Dwaraka.Krishna, who was resting at that time, told his attendants that he would bethere shortly. Samba heard of the sages' arrival, and he, along with some ofthe other young relatives present in the palace decided, to play a prank on thesages. They had Sambadress up as a pregnant woman and approach the sages. The young men said to thesages, “This woman is with a child. Please, can you tell us whether she willgive birth to a boy or a girl? Since the sages had an occult vision, they immediately saw that the youngmen were mocking them. They became furious. Enraged, they told Samba they werewell aware of his identity and cursed him that he will give birth to an iron lump, whichwill bring about the destruction of Krishna’s entire clan. In due course of time, Sambagave birth to a huge iron bolt.Realizing that the curse was working and fearful that their end was probablynearing, Samba and his young relatives went to Krishna and begged him to savethem. Krishna thought for a while, scolded Samba for his crude andirresponsible behavior, and advised him to visit King Ugrasena, who would havea solution for them. The King asked him to powder the iron bolt and then castthis powder into the Prabhas Sea. Samba and his young friends started grindingthe mace, finding it too tedious a task, threw it into the sea, without fullygrinding it. In time, thispowder grew along the seashore in the form of eraka grass. A piece of this sameiron fell into the sea and was swallowed by a fish. This fish was caught by ahunter called Jara. Krishna Departs from this MortalEarth. Jara applied the iron to the tip of his arrow and left on his huntingtrip. At that time, Krishna was resting in the woods, leaning against a tree.Jara mistook the tip of Krishna's left foot to be the ear of a deer and shothis arrow at it, injuring Krishna severely. Jararepented, Krishna consoled him and said that this was all meant to happen.Krishna then departed from his mortal body and went back to Vaikuntha. Conclusion Samba caused a lot of trouble, although he was a very respectablewarrior. But all of this was meant to happen. Samba was justan instrument of Krishna in his purpose of ending the Yadava dynasty. Shivahimself was born to Krishna in the form of Samba. Shiva's whose role is todestroy the universe in order to re-create it. The End. I tried my best & did my research to write and present it.
