MARAVU (SLIGHT OBSTRUCTION-HIDING)
Dearfriends, Sometimeshiding is bad. Some occasions we have to hide things. In certain other occasions many things are tobe done in a maravu. Ihave wondered what purpose is served with a dim light in the room from UPS and mylap top is ON with battery during the power failure. Key board is not visible with that light. The lightonly helps to switch it OFF with difficulty. But during the day, key board can be seenin the sunlight and the battery help to continue the work. Aboveall in the back ground INTERNAL CLOCK is run. If there is problem with internal battery, we have to set right the timeevery time the computer is opened. Sothough not outwardly seen, many things are done in the back ground with thebattery, similarly some of our hiding things. Today my posting isabout maravu ( Hiding) Sincerely, GopalaKrishnan 01-06-2013. 1. Brahmopadesam. Brahmopadesamis done in the covering of a silk dhoti by the father to his son in thepresence of mother. Surely Sasthrikalstoo inside the silk dhoti covering to correctly guide the father. Irrespectiveof the invitees , Brahmopadesam has tobe done in privacy. 2.Renuka and Parasurama. Parasuramawas the son of Renuka and sage Jamadagni. While bathing if privacy was maintained more bythe Yaksha, the Renuka incident would not have occurred. Parasurama would not have become angry withKarna if his foster father would havetold how he got Karna through the floating box. Many times we may think the Mahabharathastory would have been different if the birth of Karna was told to other pandava brothers by Kunti. While crossing Ganga in an occasion,the boat being rowed by her. He created a covering with fog the boat they weretravelling, while having the relation in the middle of the boat. New year gifts Oneof the nearby stationary shops to my home in Chennai would compliment excellent key chains during newyear along with other items. So if occasional purchasers are there, the owner used to tell the customers to come in the evening that wayand he would provide the valuablecompliment . Therequired item would be there, but for giving the compliment, even they do notmake the sale unless emergent to regular customers… 8. Coriander and curry leaves Duringthe time of scarcity one can see the merchants disposing other purchaserskeeping customers to provide at leastsmall quantity during scarcity. So far in Chennai they are KOSIRU. 9. Multipurpose and variety shops. Inthese shops one can see earlier stocks always kept to the front and recentstocks in the backside. Expiry of certain items is a criterion. If we go to theshops we can take the items kept in the back searching for the new arrival. But these earlier stocks are PUSHED oncustomers during DOOR DELIVERY. If at all we ask for fresh items, older stocks would be brought telling, they are the latestavailable. 10. Children items and store room items Mostlyfor children, stationary items would beprocured more and will be periodically given. This is because damage couldoccur by their use. Evenchildren will know such storage, but they will not take all together. Inthe store too, emergent required items would be procured more and slightly kept hidden, notto be in hand reach so that contingencies can be met. Mainly this includesdelicious biscuits and items like cashewfried, badam etc, Inthe refrigerator pickles and any sweet items would be kept in the most hiddenlocation so that diabetics should not have an easy hand on it. Update- Early covid 19 period one had to produce prescription for getting paracetamoldue to misuse..11. Ela maravu Kai maravu. Thisis told of telling things slightly indirectly but pointing out things. The person concerned can understand the same. Inmany TV talks we can see the persongiving the talk, do not like to reveal the identity . So his face would be shown not clear. 12. scratching identity .
